Marie Cartinnier, daughter of Robert Cartinnier (deceased) and Bonne Colombiers, of the parish of Notre-Dame-de-la-Bonne Nouvelle, diocese of Paris, married Germain Vannier, son of Christophe Vannier and Jeanne Planton, of the parish of St-Étienne, diocese of Beauvais, on 30 Sep 1669 in Notre-Dame de Québec.[3][4][5]. there were 2 bans published, the bishop having given dispensation of the 3rd ban. Named witnesses were Jacques Renaut, Jean Paul Maheut and Jean Journé, priest celebrating being Henry de Bernières.

Death
Germain Vanier died before the birth of his last child Jeanne, who was born 13 Apr 1685, baptized the next day, and noted as posthumous on her baptism. His wife was also listed as widow a few days earlier on a concession act:

No funeral record has been identified as his.
